They come in threes... but this time there were some surprises: Brad Renfro, 25; Heath Ledger, 28; Suzanne Pleshette, 70.
Renfro doesn't surprise me. I'm shocked, but not surprised. They guy seemed to have a tough go of it. I expected the Nick Nolte route, but didn't expect him to die quite so young.
Ledger. WTF? Like everyone else, I'm waiting to hear what the autopsy report says. However it goes, it's a sad end to a promising career.
And then we have Ms. Pleshette. From the time she was 21 to the time The Bob Newhart Show ended, she was never without a job. Her husky voice gave her a sultry sound that still makes me smile. She sounded so harsh in The Birds, and sweet in The Bob Newhart Show. I guess that's what acting is all about.
I think what surprised me the most is that Brittany Spears is not on this list. I know, I'm awful, but seriously, you know you were expecting it too, right? Of course right.
