it's too bad his (their) governor says he is going to veto, and chastised them for even trying when there are "so many other more important things to think about" knowing he was going to veto.
hopefully this brave kid will convince enough people so they will have enough votes to override his veto.
Don't get me wrong I think this kid is amazing, but I think he gives the guys in the locker room too much credit. I doubt any of them thought, "oh if he could get married then he's equal and we shouldn't call him a fag." I think boys in the locker room will always harass someone and marriage rights aren't going to change that...or maybe I'm just a bitter dried up old bitch.

EGL: I think it's more along the lines that since we are not equal, it gives the bullies some sort of justification. Guys are guys (assholes) and we (myself included) tend to pick on each other.
