Give 'em Hell, Harry

I can't say I agree with everything Senator Harry Reid has to say in this speech, but he's right on one thing: the Marriage Amendment is nothing more than a diversion from all the problems of the Bush Administration.

my favorite story surrounding the vote from the ever-more-dissappointing senate is this quote from Senator Vitter from LOUISIANA:

"I don't believe there's any issue that's more important than this one."

and he's from LOUISIANA!! you know, the state that has that city where only 40% of the people have come back since that hurricane eight months ago. . .
