"Would you believe...?"

Don Adams has passed away at 82. Get Smart was one of my favorite shows while growing up. If you want to know why, click HERE. Thankfully, through reruns, Maxwell Smart will live on forever, because a voice like that should never be silenced.

I wish I could write something a little more elegant, but I’m not too good at obituaries. As Max would say, “Sorry about that, Chief.”

Excellent quotes :)

I have to admit though that this is the first time (honest) that I have been introduced to Mr Adams or Get Smart.

Oh. My. God. You don't know 'Get Smart'? Run--don't walk--to your nearest video store and get any and/or all of the old shows available! It's a brilliant spy-spoof show from the 60's... written by Mel Brooks and Buck Henry. Seriously, you have much to complete in your life, young one, you need to watch this.

To answer your question about the shoe: he was a spy and he had a phone in his shoe--very high tech (it was the 60's... LONG before the mere thought of cell phones were around... it was the best of times--free love; and the worst of times--no cell, no cable, no Starbucks).
